`Big Ed Custom Lures was created about 3 years ago by Ed (Big Ed) Jones and Carmine Martucci, 2 dedicated fishermen who have been fishing the New Jersey waters for over 30 years each.  Although, we have fished for a variety of fish species we have a definite preference towards striped bass.

    For numerous years we have designed, built, and tested our lures, fishing them from boats, jetties, and beaches.  In 2005 we began selling our 6 inch, flat head, metal lipped swimmer at several area bait and tackle shops.  
    Upon receiving positive feedback from both store owners and customers we began developing other sizes and models of lures, which are now available at several locations.

    Do our lures catch fish?  Absolutely!  This photo was taken at a lake near our homes where we were evaluating different designs of our 8 inch swimmer.  When we showed up with a 9 foot surf rod fishing from a dock the local fishermen thought we were crazy.
    While testing the lures this largemouth decided that he just couldn't resist.
